Fishing Competition 31st August
Well, as a fishing fleet I think we might go hungry. Only 2 Yawls caught their supper along with the committee boat.

1st was Tris and Oli with their Bass. (They caught 2 but 1 was North of Blackstone)
2nd was 'Shag' will their Pollock.
3rd was 'Skylark' but only cos she had dressed up for the occasion. I don't think the judge fell for the shark and scuba diver claimed in her catch!

France
Fancy a trip to France?
Dear members
Would you all look at the following link http://www.semainedugolfe.asso.fr/ and let me know how many of you would be interested in taking your Yawls to France. Unfortunately it clashes with the late May open meeting but it may be possible to rearrange that for another weekend or alternatively run that for those who do not wish to travel.
Your thoughts please by e mail.

URGENT - Reply to Clive by Dec 15th.
ARE THERE ANY OTHER MEMBERS WHO WOULD LIKE TO TAKE PART IN THE YAWL GOLF DAY BEFORE CLIVE THROWS IT OPEN TO OTHER PEOPLE TO FILL THE LAST REMAINING PLACES?

We have provisionally reserved 29 rooms and the golf course at Woodbury Park near Exeter for the 14th May 2010.

More details in story.

Woodbury Park need numbers by 15th Dec so please confirm to me your intentions no later than this date by email. I will require a £50 deposit per person to secure the booking. As rooms are limited it will be first come first served.
