Dear all,

As I hope you know, we are planning a 50th Anniversary sail past at 11am on Saturday 6 August (between Regattas), followed by a picnic lunch on the grass beside the watch house.  There will be free beer and wine at the watch house but you need to bring your own picnic.

We hope to get as many yawls sailing at the same time as possible and to get the biggest gathering of yawlies ever.  I am conscious that there will be some that would like to get involved but will not have access to a yawl, so I am sure that there will be launches available on the day, so if you would like to book a place for someone for a ride on the water, please let me know.

Also, if you have a yawl but cannot use it yourself and would like it to take part, I am sure we could find a suitable helm or crew so there are no boats left on moorings or in sheds.

We hope to have a commentary from the watch house, so if you could jot a few details down about your yawl and the crew, this would be invaluable to the commentator.

Boats and crew dressed up for the occasion would of course be appreciated if you see fit.

I hope it will become a real spectacle and a celebration of 50 years of the first SYOA AGM.  Please encourage others to take part.  Any questions or queries, please let me know.

Kind regards.

Andrew
